One of the my favourite features of Whirlow Brook Hall is the bridal (and groomsmens)suite, on the upper floor of the venue. The rooms offers plenty of scope for wedding photographs of people getting ready. Here I am bale to use the mirrors and windows and wall art to create interesting compositions as you get ready for your big day! As a photographer whom design and art have continually featured throughout my life, as a student, through my teaching career and now, more importantly, as a working professional wedding photographer. The design, space and style of the bridal suite is perfect for my style of photography.

Waterton Park is the perfect setting for documentary wedding photography. The panoramic landscape has sweeping views of the surrounding natural gardens and is the perfect backdrop for daytime and evening wedding photos with trees, woodland, and sown and wildflowers in abundance. Plus a dog walker or two! The surrounding countryside offers a variety of settings for the different portraits, whether you're in the rockeries, by the natural pools or amognst the flowers. Waterton Park Hotel is situiated Walton, Wakefield. Weddings are held at Walton Hall. There is also an 18 hole golf course surrounding the wedding venue.

Whirlow Brook Hall was a former manor house, built as Whirlow Brook House by Percy Fawcett in 1913, after aquiring 5 acres of land from the Duke of Devonshire in 1908. He also bought 8 more acres and built the rockery and pond which still remain there today. Percy Fawcett was born in Sheffield in 1871, educated at Kings College in London and the trained as a Mechanical Engineer. He worked locally at Laycocks Victoria Street Works followed by Thomas Firth and Sons. During WW1 he where he was awarded an O.B.E in 1920. He lived in Whirlow Brook House from 1909 to 1919 with his wife, Dora, and three children until he moved to Dore Moor House. It was then he sold Whirlow Brook House to his sister, Lily (known as Madge) and her husband, Walter Benton Jones. The family lived there until the 1940's before being sold to Sheffield City Council in 1946 due to donations from J G Graves Trust and the Town Trustees. In 2013 Whirlow Brook Hall was run by Saxon Hotels before being taken over by Vine Hotels who continue to run the House.
